Women In News Africa back in action

The new intake of the Women in News (WIN) programme began in earnest in Botswana and Zambia from mid October and is now taking place in Zimbabwe earlier than going to Tanzania and Malawi and excitement is inside the air for the new recruits who are geared up to seize this uncommon possibility with both fingers.

The WIN programme is geared toward empowering female reporters with skill units that would allow them make a high contribution of their media houses, thereby positioning themselves for an increasing number of better duties. The programme is help by using SIDA in Rwanda, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe at the same time as the programme in Tanzania, Malawi and Kenya is supported through the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
